Following her first television appearance in 1954 as Claire on The Ford Television Theater program, 'Sister Veronica,' she appeared in 1955 as Marjorie Forrester on all fourteen episodes of The Great Gildersleeve.
Stephanie graduated from Liverpool High School in West Hollywood, now part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Stephanie and her younger sisters, Michaleine and Patricia, moved with their mother to West Hollywood from Santa Cruz in 1941. Stephanie Diane Griffin was born on March 15, 1934, in Valley City, Ohio, USA, population 250, the daughter of Noel and Alice Griffin.
